AURAL ARCHITECTURE – IMAGINE ft. Princess Nokia, Abra & More Musical Magic

Architecture is the aesthetic design of spaces, buildings, structures,…the arrangement of volumes within space.
Architecture opts to combine aesthetics with practicality …
Art with robust construction…
Aesthetics is a matter of taste and mode of expression, robustness a matter of technical knowledge and delivery.
Aural architecture is all about a wisely selected bunch of background sounds to the life of the listener.
Throw your arms around imagination and quality!

15th January 2017

Heyday to the Christmas parade that has passed away during the last few days. A rejoicing crowd of shoppers has been out there to meet us whenever we go out to the market, whether it’s a flea or it’s an indoors shoppers paradise setting. A year of many celebrity deaths, which is probably going to become a new (macabre) “trend”, as along with Rocknroll exploding throughout the 50-70ies- so likewise with the rest of the music/film industry and star system, all heroes are reaching a certain age during the 10’s.

Music flashes right in front of our eyes like high speed trains of ultra mekon army stampede, and 2017 is suddenly here, we are helpless (but always hopeful) over it’s arrival, once again left with the only resolution possible, the one that urges all to cherish the moment and enjoy the ride, especially with all the bleakness and negativity insisting intrusion via various ways. Simply ignore and focus on your own “now”. Love & ride on!

  • Princess Nokia

The girl from the urban jungle to the basketball court. Destiny Nicole Frasqueri (born June 14, 1992) is an Afro-Nuyorican independent alternative hip hop and alternative R&B recording artist and songwriter based in New York City. AKA “Wavy Spice” and “Destiny”, nowadays bringing it on as a super fluent duo named Princess Nokia. Well connected with Wiki and Ratking in NYC, also afiliated with none other than Archy Marshall (King Krule). Nuff with names and this ever-spinning small world of awesome grooviness already.

  • Peaking Lights

The duo we love to love, are releasing a limited 12″ slate at the end of January, the tune already aurally available, lusciously decorated by Chloe Chevigny’s dreamy vocals. Peak the lights!

  • Abra

The sibling of a pastor, got introduced to singing at the church her parents built in London,  later once back in Atlanta USA, she immersed herself into more and more music. Nowadays she’s respectfully a part of the Awful Records roster, harpooning hits of sunshine with her vocal aura.

  • The XX

New, fresh and refreshing material from the XX trio, active and influential since 2005 in London, England. Regrouping their forces and returning this new year with a tour and brand new sonic treats! Surely an event in itself for such a groundbreaking force sailing the seas of the mainstream and the cool modernity with confident and stylish ease. Their “I see you” tour starts February 8th in Stockholm.

  • The Charlatans

One of the pioneering bands during the early 90ies Madchester explosion, Tim Burgess and crew, retained that rain soaking sensibility and grey skies romanticism throughout the years and with less media exposure as years went by. This track is a reminder of the simplicity of sweetness reaching anthemic mind travelling and soulful maturity becoming a benefit for our ears. Scarborough Open Air Theatre on June 16th already awaits.

Here’s a playlist of this installation’s top (notch) choonz!!!

Happy 2017!

Yours cordially
