Architecture is the aesthetic design of spaces, buildings, structures,…the arrangement of volumes within space.
Architecture opts to combine aesthetics with practicality …
Art with robust construction…
Aesthetics is a matter of taste and mode of expression, robustness a matter of technical knowledge and delivery.
Aural architecture is all about a wisely selected bunch of background sounds to the life of the listener.
Throw your arms around imagination and quality!

16th October 2016

It’s unfortunate that when we feel a storm
We can roll ourselves over cuz we’re uncomfortable
Oh where the devil makes us sin
But we like it when we’re spinning in his grip

Love is like a sin my love
For the ones that feel it the most
Look at her with a smile like a flame
She will love you like a fly will never love you, again

  • DEVO

The Anti-Evolution profane bunch from Akron, Ohio, that revolted against the 70ies decaying and self-indulged rock evolution, created a motorik tongue-in-cheek unsettling parade of highly tight and musical tunes, both political and entertaining eye (& ear) opening, against a backdrop of the everchanging America of the post-industrial and consumerism concoction. Essential.

  • Pere Ubu

Cleveland, Ohio (again), sister band to DEVO in a certain way, self-described as “avant-garage,” Pere Ubu set out on a sail against commercial success with some remarkably exciting results.

  • Fugazi

1987 in Washington, D.C. saw the birth of Fugazi, when Ian MacKaye, following the end of the seminal Minor Threat, came together with ex-Dag Nasty drummer Colin Sears and bass guitarist Joe Lally towards the end of 1986. An overall DIY ethical stance and self-responsible manner of business practice and an overall repulse filled stance towards the music industry. They were active until 2003.

  • Oval

They come from Berlin, Germany, and the jahr 1991, founding members Markus Popp, Sebastian Oschatz and Frank Metzger. Glitch pioneers as they are regarded, they added to the trademark groundbreaking electronic nineties (r)evolutionary sound along with Mouse On Mars, Microstoria and So. Also worked with Bjork at some point. This month a new album is out!

  • Joalz

Athenian collective outburst of art graffitti’ed musical adventures since 2012. At least to our knowledge. With vocal members from previous post avant garde (piano punk) local bands, as well as dancefloor enthusiast feeders, Joalz are a platform of artistic expression for the contemporary clique that never feels the comfort outside of restless creation and personal vision channeling.

  •  ION

Athens visited too many times today, but sometimes I guess it just so happens. Giannis Papaioannou, is ION, a steady and trustworthy channel of electro waves, parcels of electro magic, totally personal and filtered by the dark magic of the past that has possessed his soul, as well as the eye and ear for the contemporary urban soundscapes that never cease to evolve and fed by millions of the young generations that will forever appear.
