Architecture is the aesthetic design of spaces, buildings, structures,…the arrangement of volumes within space.
Architecture opts to combine aesthetics with practicality …
Art with robust construction…
Aesthetics is a matter of taste and mode of expression, robustness a matter of technical knowledge and delivery.
Aural architecture is all about a wisely selected bunch of background sounds to the life of the listener.
Throw your arms around imagination and quality!

9th October 2016

Happiness within our everyday existence is a virtue, an overrated state of constant chase and struggle. One must stop and look around, rediscover meaning across daily tasks and re-evaluate relationships and “belongings” that are ruthlessly subjected to the somewhat evil games of denial in favour of the next person’s possessions or partner as being (perhaps) better (!). Maybe the notion of one life, one planet, one existence, one love, would be the answer to these momentary lapses of reason. Calm realisation, stress-less thinking and clear-headed roaming of the urban streets of life is a state that doesn’t come easy. Keep on keepin’ on!

I’m a dreamer. I have to dream and reach for the stars, and if I miss a star then I grab a handful of clouds.

Mike Tyson

She has written for Cher, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera and her name is Laura Pergolizzi. LA bound, after 3 albums and 3 EPs, here she is!

  • Pond

Australia, also known for INXS, The Birthday Party, Radio Birdman and Destroyer 666, is nowadays heavily represented by Tame Impala and their posse, which includes Pond.

  • Jagwar Ma

Jono Ma plus Gabriel Winterfield plus Jack Freeman form the core of what Jagwar Ma is. Another Australian take, this time from Sydney, with all the exotic mood this enchanting big island brings about. New fresh material is out October 14th!

  • liv

A richly aromatic blend of Sweden and the USA containing strong hints of Lykke Li, Andrew Wyatt, Pontus Winnberg, Björn Yttling, and Jeff Bhasker. Liv stand for “life” in Swedish. As self described by Lykke Li the band is like “the love child of ABBA and Fleetwood Mac.” “Wings of Love” is out since September 30th. Fresh, intense and multilayered!

  • Trent Reznor

Nine Inch Nails initiator and industrial, dance and metal music merge catalyst since 1988, Trent Reznor still produces aural pieces of art.

The first of tonight’s trilogy of motivational punk and post punk explosion (1976-1977) in the UK. Buzzcocks, a word partly influenced by Never Mind The Bollocks by The Sex Pistols.  That beautiful and anthemic single that propelled the band to the TOTP (Top Of The Pops)

  • The Undertones

Being famed for producing the all time favorite track for legend John Peel, The Undertones from Derry, Northern Ireland, formed in 1975 and lived their first creative era until 1983.

  • The Damned

The year is 1976 and in London the punk explosion produced many many exciting dangerous pieces of sonic scatter bombs. The Damned were lead vocalist Dave Vanian, guitarist Brian James, bassist (and later guitarist) Captain Sensible, and drummer Rat Scabies. Having never effectively broken up, they are nowadays again are shaking, rattling and rolling! New Rose made them famous in a timeless way and this year they played the Royal Albert Hall, celebrating 40 years and taking a sweet revenge on the fact that initially they were not allowed to play there in 1977, as they were perceived as being aesthetically not suitable for this venue of grandeur supreme.

Off to another night, another day, another week of musical exploration through breathing, seeing, hearing, hating and loving! à bientôt!

A closely relevant but not necessarily always exact playlist on this week’s selections follows:
