Poem: My Jacket with a Broken Zip

url

A poem by Tornike Lekishvili.

Loneliness breaks the secrecy of night,

And covers the sky with her own light

Hoping that she will find

Sun that no longer shines

But as much as sky is lit,

Earth is dark, with shadows filled

And at a point where shadows meet,

I found a place to sit,

Howl to the moon

And drink.

I reach for my Jacket,

With a broken zip,

Not yet ready for the trip,

I head down the hill

And Feel a little chill

While breeze keeps my mind still

And spreads jacket like wings

I find myself at peace

Like at times when we kiss.
