Listen to Beck’s New Funky Rock Track

New Music Beck Dreams

Award winning Grammy singer, Beck releases a new funky mid-tempo rock song called “Dreams”. The feel-good song that is likely to be a summer anthem was co-written by Beck, Greg Kurstin and Miike Snow frontman Andrew Wyatt and mixed by Serban Ghene.

The funky electric guitar compliments the rhythmic cymbal, as each crash, signals a call to the dance floor. The happy tempo is juxtaposed with quite disheartening lyrics, “Now can these broken wings free me/about a light year from reality” he sings. Dreams poetically touches on the subjects of consuming love and consuming longing…to fulfil our dreams.

The track is likely to be a single of his currently untitled upcoming album, which will likely keep the same uptempo feel. In an interview with Alt 98.7 he says “I think it’s probably the opposite [of Morning Phase].” His award winning album, Morning Phase was a slow tempo soft rock, orchestral masterpiece.
